Unfortunately it is not always “glorified beautifully” in the AA families!! It is taught or learned too late that having a positive person by your side is a wonderful thing.

The reason many of us don’t get married is because the black woman’s standards have declined/fallen. Many black women will settle… just to say I have a piece of a man. That should never be good enough for any woman. Until black women change and demand more
from our men…the men will do a little as possible. The execution of Christian values in the black community is needed DESPERATELY
As a single black without children it’s hard to find a single black man without children. I don’t want an instant family. I want children with my husband. If kids are involved, there’s gonna be drama and I live drama free. I think it may be the same on the man’s side, he doesn’t want someone who has a gaggle of kids. With so many out of wedlock children in our community, it’s no wonder we marry outside our race more often.
