I think people get religion and Christianity mixed up.You can do anything under the sun religiously. Christianity, after the initial acceptance of Christ, the process of sanctification begins. This process is as different as people are different. Sometimes in this growth process people get a bit over zealous and over the top, thinking they are pleasing God but actually doing the opposite. We need to pray for their level of maturity in Christ.
