Dear Doug Letters

By Doug Banks Radio Show

Dear Doug,

She can’t seriously believe that she still fits a size 14? Doug, I love my wife size 18 or the size 14 she keeps trying to squeeze all her love handles into. We have had this discussion over and over. Frankly I am tired of it. I’m not one of those guys that just complains about his lady and her weight. I have gone to her before about this and we started working out together. I Iost 24 pounds, she lost 3! We have done meal planning and diet regimens but to no avail. I’m at my wits end.  She isn’t working at this and continues to buy clothes that just don’t fit her body anymore.
I hit my last straw a few months ago she met me at my company party and I was embarrassed to say the least. She is gorgeous woman but her outfit selection for this party was ill fitted and because of that very revealing. I spent a great deal of time trying to cover her and meeting fleeting glances with the “I will kill you stare.” I never said a word to her about it but I feel it’s time I do. I can’t wait for summer for this to blow up in my face.
How do I go about this? Should I just be brutally honest or how do you gently say baby that’s not your size anymore?
Shape up!
